Taking Responsibility

| July 9, 2013 | 0 Comments

Money is an inside job, as are all things involving wealth.

No matter what the asset, it had its beginnings as a thought inside you – an idea or a desire. The desire to have a life partner, the thought that you would look mighty fine in that suit, the idea that if you can sell X amount of Y, you will have the mortgage paid. It’s the thought process that generates anything and everything we see in the material world. And so, in order to change the way money and assets comes and go, we need to change the way we think about them.

taking responsibilityThe first step in this process involves the practice of wise stewardship.

Stewardship is a term that isn’t heard much these days. I admit the word sounds a little outdated, but the concept is not only timeless but wise. Closely related to responsibility, a life based on stewardship, or more specifically on taking responsibility, is one of the core principles necessary for building a RichLife. It puts the ball fully in your court, but it’s important to understand the difference between being responsible and being at fault.
